Prove Segment Congruence

Using this sketch, you’ll figure out how to prove that two segments of equal length (\overline (AB) and \overline (CD)) are congruent. To develop your argument for this proof, you’ll construct reflections to superpose one segment on another segment of equal length.

Because you’re inventing a proof, your reflections must work no matter how the two segments are repositioned relative to each other. (In other words, the reflections cannot use adjustable mirrors; they must use mirrors that you’ve constructed using points A, B, C, and D.)
