Prove Segment Congruence

▿︎ Reflection Only

Using this sketch, you’ll figure out how to prove that two segments of equal length (`\overline (AB) and \overline (CD)`) are congruent. To develop your argument for this proof, you’ll construct reflections to superpose one segment on another segment of equal length.

Because you’re inventing a proof, your reflections must work no matter how the two segments are repositioned relative to each other. (In other words, the reflections cannot use adjustable mirrors; they must use mirrors that you’ve constructed using points `A`, `B`, `C`, and `D`.)
