You can use these number lines to multiply and divide numbers with fractions.

First set the scale factor for the two lines, and then drag the arrows to multiply or divide.

• Drag the orange points to change the scale factor.
• Drag the green arrow to multiply a number on the top line by the scale factor.
• Drag the red arrow to divide a number on the bottom line by the scale factor.
• Use the denominator points on each line to divide each whole number into fractional parts.
• Use the unit point to make the units on the lines larger or smaller.
• If one of the arrows goes off the edge of the window, press the Reset Arrows button.
